Overview:
The Morticia MIA-69 is formally designated by the State as the Advanced Multirole S.W.A.N.
Combat Platform, or A.M.S.C.P., and is piloted solely by the S.W.A.N.s—Special Warfare
Augmented Neoclones. These beautiful, ageless, genetically enhanced, biologically female
clone MechWarriors are derived from the Selice Hwan template. Selice Hwan herself remains
alive in a State-secured stasis vault, while countless exact copies of her serve the State
as loyal enforcers and capable BattleMech pilots.
The Morticia fulfills the State’s core BattleMech tenets: speed, firepower, armor, and
multi-range engagement capability. Its battlefield record across countless engagements made
it more than a successful design; it became a symbol of the State’s technological
achievement in BattleMech warfare. Among the State’s many combat platforms, the Morticia
stands as the poster child of the State’s military power.
Notable MechWarriors:
S.W.A.N. pilots operate the Morticia in specialized pilot integuments: high-cut
camouflage-grey swimsuit-like combat garments designed to resist fungal growth, suppress
bacterial buildup, wick sweat, and prevent snagging or fabric discomfort inside the cockpit.
State doctrine deliberately pairs the Morticia’s battlefield silhouette with the S.W.A.N.
herself, creating an iconic female-coded war machine whose form mirrors the engineered

Comment:
Finally a record of The State's battlemech capabilities. The Mech is... very normal. Certainly a solid trooper mech for light engagements. It is light for its role by our standards.
The descriptor of the pilot program is interesting. Genetic Slavery is still evident, but at least these women seem to be treated more as people, unlike their sisters who end up in life support coffins on light vehicles. Our guess is the mechwarrior pilots came first, but were devalued as people as their population increased, leading to them becoming just commodities to install in cheap vehicles.
The use of Clones is perhaps not the brightest idea from their command. While the baseline pilot is no doubt capable, they will also have statistically relevant blind-spots in their thinking. This is potentially a flaw that could be exploited to shape engagements into a more cost effective victory.
