Three gauss rifles in a very hard shell with acceptable speed. At first glance it seems to be the perfect assault mech but if you look closer you´ll discover some (not too problematic) flaws: All your monstrous main firepower is ammo dependant. 16 shots are not that few but in prolonged battles with heavy opposition your gauss rifles are in danger of running dry. (Yes, that happend to me!) Another problem is the limited heat dissipation capability. Up close you´re in trouble if forced to fire your lasers repeatedly: Your speed would drop to a creep. But an enemy would need a lot of luck to go through that hail of gauss slugs without disintegrating. |

Too many times have I faced this mech and killed it with a fast mover with some crit seekers, made it explode from infernos, or just plain never let it engage because of its terrible speed. Over hyped, over played, expensive piece of junk. It cannot fire its weapons at a run without overheating pretty significantly and usually you will need to be running as the enemy will try to get into the minimums, it always gets Gauss rifles blown up which leads to engine hits quite often or just taking the engines out entirely or whatever. If you have a lance around you to keep the enemies at bay; fine. But if you have to protect your 100 ton mech maybe you are playing the wrong 100 tonner. 2.5 |

This is an awesome Inner Sphere mech, but looks terrible (I use a Behemoth minature instead). Overall though a good design, and great for fighting clanners, just like the equally good Devastator and Fafnir. |

Whoa, talk about some fire support.
Three gauss rifles can deal out an amazing amount of damage, even assault mechs will have trouble dealing with it.
The mech carries enough ammo for each rifle to have 16 shots, and some discipline can make those shots go a long way.
The medium lasers are more to cover the minimum ranges on the gauss rifles than to provide any kind of attack value. Still, its more weapons that an attacker must contend with if the fighting moves to close range.
Its not exactly quick, but it doesnt have to be. This is a mech that will scare less experienced players and force seasoned players to rethink their tactics. A lance of these on a hill top providing fire support is going to be devastating. Heck, you might even be able to take out a DropShip if you do it right. |

This is an expensive piece of machinery but it packs 3 pretty big and deadly guns too.
Using this guy is simple, get the best pilot you can ever get, place the mech somewhere where the pilot can have full view of the target and let loose.
The only niggle that bug this thing is its ammo dependency which costs it half a point in my book when compared to the Devastator.
