Overview:
The Hellhound HH070 Flame Tank is a fast assault vehicle designed for close-range urban
combat and shock operations. Originally conceived as a breakthrough and anti-infantry
platform, the Hellhound combines high mobility with devastating incendiary weaponry capable
of flushing entrenched forces from fortified positions. Its turret-mounted Heavy Flamer
projects burning fuel across wide areas, making the vehicle especially feared during city
    fighting and defensive line assaults.

Capabilities:
The HH070 excels in close-quarters engagements where its incendiary weapon systems can be
brought to bear against infantry, light vehicles, and exposed BattleMechs. While lightly
armored compared to heavier assault vehicles, the Hellhound compensates with speed and
aggressive battlefield tactics. The front-mounted Heavy Machine Gun provides suppressive
fire while the main flamer weapon can force enemy units from cover and generate dangerous
    heat buildup in hostile machines.

Despite its offensive potential, the Hellhound remains vulnerable to long-range fire and
anti-armor weapons. Commanders typically deploy Hellhounds alongside mechanized infantry or
armored spearheads where their short-range firepower can be fully exploited.

Deployment:
Hellhound flame tanks are commonly assigned to rapid assault formations, urban pacification
units, and siege breakthrough companies. Their psychological impact on enemy infantry is
considerable, and many commanders use them to clear defensive trenches, fortified compounds,
and narrow urban corridors before committing heavier forces.

Due to the volatile nature of its fuel reserves, the Hellhound is notorious for catastrophic
ammunition detonations when critically damaged, earning it a feared reputation among both
    allies and enemies.

Variants:
    HH070-S Siege Burner

Replaces the Heavy Machine Gun with additional incendiary fuel storage and reinforced
frontal armor for prolonged urban engagements.

    HH070-R Raider

A lighter reconnaissance variant equipped with improved communications systems and reduced
    armor for increased battlefield mobility.

Notable MechWarriors:
    Ashmaker

A Hellhound assigned to the 14th Periphery Assault Regiment during the Kestrel Uprisings.
The vehicle became infamous after surviving repeated close-range engagements within the
industrial districts of New Carthage while continuing offensive operations despite severe
    structural damage.
