The "Baby Archer". I love this design. Sure, it has some flaws. But minor ones if used properly. It needs CASE, ok. Why? It isn't supposed to take enough damage to penetrate the armor. Its a Fire Support unit. Ok, I'd put it in anyways though because with a standard engine, if a lucky shot crits the ammo you still survive to run away. Drop the SPLs for CASE and an ERML. Boom. Now you have a mech to reckon with. |

A sound design with several flaws. If it can be factory re-fitted, I see Er Meds, FF armor and CASE as a mandatory upgrade.
Serious long range firepower in this one but the slow speed hampers it.

An average LRM support mech that has very serious firepower at long range. It was designed to be produced as cheap as possible so no advanced construction materials like ES,FF or XL were used. Only equipment vital to delivering its LRM´s are high tech like artemis and DHS. The lack of CASE hurts it much and that small pulse lasers maybe were only taken because they are cheaper than standard mediums but i think that was a bad decision too!
To keep the flavor of it just put FF on to mount CASE and rip that smalls out for real weapons! |

Hmm . . not bad, but a few problems really kill it for me. Others have mentioned those terrible small pulse lasers, they should never be mounted on mechs at all. Worse still, an ammo-using mech with a standard engine should be using CASE. It's just common sense. Despite the new technology, this is quite a bit cheaper than the original Archer, and has about the same firepower, but FF armor or Endo-Steel would give more room to mount secondary weapons. |

More average than anything else in life. Its armour is nice but drop the Small Pulses for ER mediums to give you that in close punch you need to survive when your position is over run.
I like the ammo but its speed is unimpressive. Make sure the body guard mechs are sufficent enough to protect this mech otherwise it'll be lost along with the position. |
