I find I agree with SD's comments on this. I myself would have preferred TAG, an ERML, the LRM 5. Screw the Artemis IV. This mech is a great harassment unit, and unless you can field a Spider or something else that agile, you wont catch it. You can only hope the pilot does something stupid so you can blast him.

A pain in the ass makes the Assassin annoying. I dislike the weapon loadout here but its speed and agility give the Assassin the edge it needs.

ASN-23 model is, just like the eariler models, a good harasser with excellent mobility and a long ranged weapon, but it's lighter armor makes it unpopular. Personally I don't like the choice of MPL as a replacement for the old laser and SRMs. Sure, it allows the 'Mech to hit trgets while jumping around, but it's short ranged and doesn't leave the ASN much room to chose combat range while fighting withut the missiles. Personally I would prefer using the standard laser and moving a TAG to replace the SRMs. This would create an excellent spotter for new Capellan Catapults, since the Assassin is a Capellan primarily a 'Mech as well. Unlike the other people around I don't think that the Artemis is a good addition to 'Mechs arsenal. It doesn't improve the chance to hit, only the amount of missiles, but with LRM-5 it only increases the cost of ammo, the result is far below my expectations. Another possible way to include some useful equipment. C3 would be good, but the Confederations didn't use them around 3050. All in all, nothing stellar here.

Much wasted potential on this upgrade but so it is easy to do for the techs.
A pulselaser is a good idea on such a fast-moving mech and the LRM is its the most used weapon so the artemis will work fine.
No heavy-hitter but a constant thorn in the ass of any opponent in the area!
