Good firepower at almost all ranges, lots of armor and JJ´s in a very ugly package. Fine as a trainer for assault pilots but fine at the front too. The only thing that i don´t like (besides that it´s ugly) are that small lasers that had to be converted to CASE soon. |

I like the Crockett. I always have. Strangely, I've never lost one, even when fighting the Clans. This may be because people underestimate it, I don't know. I'm currently fielding one in a DCMS Unit that is fighting Clan Smoke Jaguar alongside some Mercs. I have a whole 6 DCMS Mechs, this being one of them. I used it today to go toe to toe with a Dire Wolf, and I lived to tell the tale. Of course, the Thunderbolt backshotting the Dire Wolf helped make the kill, but I still feel many underrate this Mech. |

I've never been impressed with the Crockett. It has several advantages: it carries plenty of ammunition, has a standard engine, has jump jets, and great armor. It has great crit-seeking abilities, but it's punch-through weapons are light.
It's relatively slow and its weapon ranges are low for the time period: not a good combination. It also carries 5 tons of ammo- which it has to get in close to use. For all of its high-tech weaponry and DHS it's really not much different from a lvl 1 Stalker. In a lvl 2 environment a lot of mechs will outgun, outrange, and outmaneuver this. |

another nice star league era design. the paired er lrg's give it nice range and the hs allow it to fire rapidly w/o overheating. in closer rights the lbx and paired srm launchers will allow it to find crits easily. only thing would to be to lose the sm lzrs. |

The trainer mech of choice being upgraded with new tech, it still does the job of training the recruits well but now the recruits dont have to worry about heat though which can be a good or bad thing depending on how ya think.. |
