This is a good and usable assault with only one real flaw: 8 shots per launcher is not enough, as was said before. After 8 rounds its firepower is more than halved. Compared to the -8R its much better but the -8Q still remains the superior machine. |

The only worthy non-PPC downgrade to the Awesome (the other two are just too weak). It really speaks for the base model that this rates just a "3" - mind you, technically that is still above average.
The worth of the -8T becomes apparent when you compare it to the Kuritan Archer (as has been done by Erenon and CO_17thRecon). I agree with Erenon on this one - the Archer was ambitious, but is flawed. The package works much better on the Awesome, albeit with the minor drawback of very limited ammo. Yet if that was a reason to can the -8T, the Zeus would be considered critically flawed, too.
All in all, this is a decent assault that starts the game as a medium-heavy missile boat but turns into a medium-ranged medium brawler. Ideally, there is a brief overlap of both roles, turning this Awesome into a frightful powerhouse for a short time. |

It's like a weird Stalker. It doesn't follow normal Awesome conventions even of 3 large long range weapons. Instead, we get two big medium range weapons, two long range weapons, minimal ammo, and plenty of heatsinks.
That last part would be good, if the machine could maintain fire, but past eight turns, you're sunk. Like the idea of this design? Then get a Stalker. Don't like the idea of this design? Get an Awesome AWS-8Q. I find little reason to like this, it's been done, and done better.
Come to that, doesn't the Draconis Combine have an Archer that mounts about the same weaponry? Go use that instead. |

Just average. It can produce a frightening barrage of missiles and lasers, but once the missiles are gone the firepower drops. even one more ton of ammo would be an improvement. The 'Mech was probably made with slow advances in mind. Sending a lance of these to weak point in enemy line should do the trick and in defensive operation you can stay close to rearm post. Not bad, but it isn't that impressive. |

Killing 2 more heatsinks for more ammo will be a tremendous bonus for the mech.
8 rounds of ammo might be just fine for faster assault like the Zeus since the Zeus doesn't pack too much armor but this thing has heaps of armor. More ammo will go a long way for this mech.
Of course, killing the small laser for another half ton of plating might be half ton well spent. I don't think the pilot will use it anyway. LLs have no mins.
