It may look like an all old-tech machine, but don't let yourself be confused by the weapons. The internal structure allowed the designers to install three additional heat sinks and CASE for the SRM ammo. It doesn't look that impressive, but it allowed the 3N Guillotine to walk, fire all weapons (or jump without one laser) and stay cool. That's quite impressive for a 'Mech without freezers. The GLT is a short range powerhouse. It can't do much at long range, but it can end the fight pretty fast once it's short range weapons get in range and the jump-jets come into play. It deserves high rating, but remember that you need to use it well. Don't expose yourself too much to long range fire, keep moving and you'll do fine.

A good, old StarLeague machine.
No fancy hightech but reliable and affordable equipment.
Strong shortrange firepower and the heatsinks to use it but it has to be careful not to be cought in the open as it has only a single mediumrange weapon.

Well, when I first went to review this I thought people would wonder why I rated it so high. Then I read other people's reviews and realized they would understand. Even though it uses all low level tech, it is still a power house. With jump and a decent mix of laser weapons it works quite well. It has a single downside, which has lowered its rating somewhat... and that is the lack of any real long range firepower, a definite disadvantage on an open battlefield.

Technically I thought this design belonged in 3025 with the Grasshopper H model, but I suppose the case is the reason. Either way its natural friends with the Grasshoppers, and sort of the Panthers of this world.
Good servicable machine, nothing too fancy to break, and cheap on the mercenary budget.

Picture this, a lance of Grasshoppers and Guillotines. The potential is impressive.
Granted that this is the 'old' model, but its still got some good strengths. The weapons may not be fancy, but they are readily available, so repair and replacement is going to be a snap.
Personally, Id go with about 13 DHS and use the rest of the space to revamp the weapons, adding in some beefier stuff. Maybe going with a larger XL engine would get this thing to move a bit faster, giving it a better quick-strike ability.
Theres lots of ways to go with this one, and when you get right down to it, its almost the Star League equivalent of the 3025 Archer. One chassis that can be modified a skillion different ways.
