This is an ARC-2K that was upgraded in the same way as the -2R / -4M.
Artemis is of good use here too as are CASE and DHS´s.
Still you cannot fire all weapons but now you are able to fire both that large lasers. |

It looks like the IS scientists developed something to mimic the Mad Dog of the clans. The 5R (I would like to know what made the designers to mix the designations of these weapon configurations. I'd expect the R archer to be the one with double LRM 20s and MLs for backup.) is a well armoured missile carrier with double ER large lasers for backup and heat sinks to allow the pilot to use them. I don't think that this needs any other comments, but I'd like to point out that unlike the 4M (or 2R) Archer the 5R will see more action in direct combat. A perfect machine for those who don't want to empty their missile magazines and walk away. Another perfect 3050 machine. |

At least I don't have to worry about being out of ammo now ! Armor is not that cool though but still very decent. |

Simply Awesome! I love this design! The only thing I would do for the next generation would be to use a LFE giving me 4 tons to work with use 2 of those for armor Maxinig it back out. And for the other 2 for 2 erml's firing to the rear like the original ARC-2R. Even if the ammo bins run dry now (or the future version) you still have decent firepower. Not knockout levels but respectable levels. I'll take a companies worth please. |

An even better Archer variant, but still has some heat issues. It has a lot of long range power, which is great since thats what its role calls for. |
