A straight forward upgrade of the "heatbeast" -4D. Some more armor and the heatsinks to use its arsenal. It is a bracket-fighter so don´t try to use PPC´s and large lasers simultaneously. |

Hmm, we have an improved heat dissipation, range and armor. That XL engine wasn't nice, but there was no other way... actually FF and a little less heat sinks would do the job as well. It's has brackets, but if the pilot had some discipline he could use them with less heat sinks and without sitting on the XL engine. I would try standard PPCs here just for the firepower's sake...
Still it is an upgrade, unlike many other things in 3050 TRO. |

It's a baby dual ER PPC platform that can whip out some hurting at close range if you're willing to risk shut down from the heat build-up.
This baby can push out 46 points of damage from that incredible energy volley for 18 heat. That's something even a marauder needs to be wary about.
Of course, it's fragile, but the armour is actually a slight upgrade from the original, though having an XL engine means it can't quite make full use of that.. |

TSM and Endo-Steel will give this thing a tremendous boost. Put the additonal tonnage to armor and you will be pretty gold. |

I've used this to good effect after adding TSM and Endo Steel. I use the extra 3 tons ALL for armor. Then it's more than a death trap. Like it is though, thats EXACTLY what it is, better keep one of your TICs (Target Interlock Circuit - ie those 2 triggers and 1 top button normally found on each control stick) set to start the eject sequence instead of a weapon(s). Ouch. |
