Capabilities:
In a case of "just because you can doesn't mean you should" there is the Bumblebee. It is a
flying heavy gauss rifle. It is also one of the slowest and under armored VTOLs imaginable.
Even the flying LRM carrier has more armor coverage (though it is slower.) But... its
also a flying Heavy Gauss Rifle. The pucker factor involved knowing just how hard of a
'sting' you could experience tends to keep enemy mechwarriors just a bit preoccupied
watching their flanks and rear.
Deployment:
For the units misfortunate enough to be assigned Bumblebees, cover is their friend. There
is no terrain they like so much as forested canyons or urban operations. Sure piloting
error could kill them, but thats better then being shot at which will kill them. As a
consequence Bumblebees are considered to be sneakier then average with a good pilot not
exposing themselves until they suddenly appear in their targets rear arc.
