The Enforcer is one of my favorites but i don“t like this upgrade! The speed is good (even though it has that XL) , the weapons got a logical upgrade and 20 shells will prevent it from mothering its shots but with that 12 standard heatsinks it will seldom use that large ER laser. DHS have to be a must here. |

Just like the old 4D and now it even has some rear armor (yay!). It can still act as a barrage 'Mech just like it's predecessor, but this time it can move in to position faster and it can repeat the action before it has to retreat. The XL engine (combined with the armor) is the limiting factor here, so don't overestimate your abilities. LL and AC can be used for sniping from afar, but doing this while moving reduces the 'Mechs ability to fight efficiently. It wasn't built for that anyway. Primary use for the Enforcer is to get an enemy in medium range of it's guns, than stand still and pour as many shells and laser bolts at him as you can and then use the JJs to find some place to cool down (or do this while moving to position again). Anything less than a well armoured heavy won't like to see this around. Even with SHSs it isn't as poorly thought out as many of it's 3050 colleagues. |

Granted the mech moves faster and can jump further but the XL engine gives it a glass jaw syndrome. The weapon's combo is will put a good showing though.
Sure the ENF is more mobile but it will suffer the moment a medium laser hits it thin rear side torso. Heck, a Clan med will punch through it outright and the game is up.
Poorly thought out.

A logical 3050 upgrade for the enforcer, this keeps it operating nicely into the next era, the ER now allows it to fire at greater ranges and the LBX allows it to fight better as an infighter and exploit the holes punched by the ER. Keep at a range of around 12 hexes and keep the two weapons churning. Any closer will exploit the Xl and any further away and the weapons will have problems tracking. Remember, use slug ammo for the AC until you hole the armour, then crit seek. |

You sacrifice a lot when you put expensive XL engine in but forget the double heat sinks. This mech of the line would work if it could manuver with its superior speed and use its long range weapons to effect.
As it stands your forced to not shoot your ER Large roughly every 2nd turn to keep your speed up. Also with this thin armour it means your Small Laser is a door stop.
Keep it at range and use it as a sniper with your best gunner mechwarrior.
I like its manuverability because in 3050 the average speed of a formation of "line" mechs is still mostly 4/6. So the 5/8/5 gives you something to exploit. |
