This variant doesn´t show a great advantage over the -2S.
Still not a real threat except for some lights.
The DHS are an oddity on this one: So many 3050 mechs desperately need them without getting them but this one does without needing them (See Cicada for similar nonesense). |

At least it doesn't have an XL engine. This would kill this otherwise passable lower end medium line 'Mech. UAC is a solid if not too impressive weapon pulse laser isn't that bad and flamer is a standard for Hermes II chassis. Speed and armor are both solid, too bad that ES prevents the older models from being upgraded to new standard. Be careful with rapid fire mode, there isn't too much ammo. +0.5 for not being completely nerfed, like some other Marik upgrades, -0.5 for unused heat sink potental. A definition of average. |

It does the job it was designed for, which is to kill lighter 'mechs. Beyond that, there is not too much to say about this design. |

Keep it around strickly for the militia and national guard. Not really impressive for its tonnage.
As a slow scout mech it can be a picket against scout raids but the UAC 5 really doesnt' have the killing power you need if you plan on getting scouts. |

Much better armor wise than the Hermes, it fails however to live up to its name speed wise. I'd put this as a secondary tier mech, possibly a tertiery/national guard/militia unit. |
