Oh, a pocket lighter with advanced sensors. Now it can examine something before burning it down.
To be serious: BAP and AMS are things i wouldn´t put in a Firestarter but DHS´s would have been very useful.
Still useful as a "firestarter" but not as it could have been. |

The armor may not be the strongest (avoid gauss rifles), but this 'Mech was never meant to fight other 'Mechs. I regret that the Machine guns were removed, but the AMS is also useful. The best feature on this remake is the Beagle Active Probe, which is vital in fires and smoke created by all the flamers. The double heat sinks would be useful, but to avoid overheating the 'Mech should avoid it's own fire and it should be fine. |

Never been too fond of the firestarter. More a weapon of terror and riot control than a real battlemech.
I've seen this mech preform okay some missions but usually it collects too many shots because of its flamer array and collapses long before its done anything appreciable. |

I'm not much of a flamer fan, but this mech has its uses. I dont mind using it on random roll games, but I'd never choose it. |
