For sure this is a sniper.
One heavy (for its weight) longrange weapon, speed and no heat-problems. But this few sheets of tin forces you to choose your target VERY carefully.
Even a Vulcan will be a dangerous foe.
Against normal recon-units it will rock, until they have this much maligned LRM-5! :-) |

This mech can be very dangerous as sniper, but thin armor turns any combat to saber dance. Statistics show 1.5t of FF armor. |

I love this mech's idea. The high speed, standard armour and superior range to all other scouts lets it be lethal...
But no armour means its just as lethal to the pilot.
A double edged sword since it coming back lets you know the enemy commander is incompetant or Steiner. It not coming back means it found something better than the 3025 Wasp/Stinger to tangle with.
Expensive trip wire though. |

This thing will get a lot of people killed. Unfortunately, most of those people will be piloting it. The weapon isn't bad, and the speed's good to get it around, but the armor on this is so light that any other positive features it has are rendered moot. |

This 'mech is a specialist, and does it's job well, but is virtually useless outside of it's niche. It's also very vulnerable to hovercraft, and to ambush. |
