I suspect this was podded to be an Urban Combat Unit. Hence the A-Pods. When that infantry comes swarming out of the Hotel you're walking past, BOOM, they die a gruesome death. |

Drop the AP Pods for 1 more ton of ammo and 1 ERsmall laser. It will improve the mech's viability alot.
Good news about mounting an UAC-20 is that u can basically slaughter any medium and heavies quickly.
Bad news is having only enough ammo for 5 rounds of double fire is enough to send alarm bells ringing. |

Havent we seen this one before? On a mech thats a lot faster?
I suppose theres some unwritten rule someplace that says assault mechs must carry a big flippin gun. Oh well.
Again, you need to watch your heat in this monster. Going full-tilt-boogie is going to overheat this mech, as well. And since youre toting around all that UAC ammo, you could turn into a rather impressive fireworks display.
Why this thing mounts A-pods I have no idea. I dont think this is a mech thats going to be wading into infantry battles.
A definite bodyguard mech, here. |

Pretty much a Stormcrow B with more armour and heat sinks. This variant is very powerful, but somewhat limited in choice and range.
The AC is exceptionally powerful. Once you run out of ammo (after 5 turns...) you are left with 6 ERML - still a hugely brutal 42-damage punch! And it has the heat sinks to use it all.
Nevertheless, it is not as good as variant A, having a decidedly shorter range on its weapons. And the UAC20 only makes up for a part of the difference (the A carries two ERPPCs, doing similar damage at double the range). |

Not so bad, at least the AC/20 lets you kill the first thing you come across. After that, you're reduced to the firepower of a light 'mech. |
