A slight Prime mod that works fine IMO, but you need to watch your heat. Don't overuse the LRMs unless you have the chance to finish the target or you can't reach it by other means. Just like with most clan machines that can bear heavy weapons you have a massive range advantage over most IS foes and you also sit in fairly mobile and well armoured chassis. What more could a warrior want? |

This gets closest to my vision of the timberwolf. Love the addition of jump jets to this machine. Would prefer full jump but this isnt bad. As others have pointed out the lack of infantry weapons is there. But most games I have played there is no infantry to begine with. And if there is they get delt with by elementls so its no real worry.
The only problem I have is with mech 4 and the "the timberwolf cant mount jump jets, so they made the timberwolf mk2 to change that problem"
Hmmmm. Wish the game deisngers had followed the universe a bit better. |

Aidan Pryde... brilliant warrior, who rides a bit of an oddball mech. I like it, and overused it a lot when I first started playing BT. I wouldn't have ever used it has I known at the time it was a single warrior's ride heh. Oh well, live and learn.
As for the actual mech, it is just a slight repod of the PRIME, and has most of the same capabilities. The loss of anti-infantry firepower in favor of JJ makes it a better mech imho. It adds more tactical flexibility to it, something noted in the novels. |

A fine variant of the highly popular Timber Wolf, this Pryde version is more suited to my style of combat. It still packs a lot of firepower on to its heavily armored frame, but it has more manuverability, which I love. I give it a four. |

Only Jade Falcon would add jump jets to a perfectly fine OMNI mech. Just stick with your Thor if you want jump. Not really worth the trouble to do. |
