One has to admit that the clans have done this chassis right. It packs a lot of punch and although everbody has his personal tweak on the Prime configuration (I'd drop MG ammo for two more MGs) the consensus could be, that this is very close to perfection. The lasers were probably never meant to be fired along with the LRMs cotinually (hence the lower ammo load). You simply can throw in a massive alpha in a pinch, although not very often, or lob them over obstacles. Medium lasers support the large lasers nicely and if anyone wonders what the pulse laser is there for, then watch it eat IS battle armour or harras the light bastards trying to play it on modifiers against you. |

I don't really know what to say that hasn't already been said about this mech. Everyone already knows how good it is. While the primary configuration is not my favorite this mech is such a great omnimech platform that I really can't help but give it a near perfect review. My personal Madcat uses dual ER PPCs and LRM10s, which are backed up with a pair of ER Medium Lasers and a pair of machine guns.
Also it's one of the coolest looking mechs in the game.

I love this machine. It is fast powerful and extremely versatle. Amazing display of technology by the clans and possible the most distinct machine for the universe.
The only reason it dosent get a 5 is that fact that I dont like any of the variants. the d comes closest to being the only one I like. Luckily a little modding with this goes a long way. |

Zakalwe pretty much nailed every single point in his review of this machine, but here is a small recap: Good jack-of-all trades. It is useful no matter where it is on a battlefield, has a huge amount of armor, some heat problems, but only if you Alpha like a mad-man, and its fast. Not to mention the obviousness of it's awesome power in the way it looks. |

A walking show case of Clan tech, this Mad Cat is good for everything.
The firepower is just brutal and the weapon mix means you will be useful, no matter where you are.
Just watch the heat, this mech isnt a cool runner ! |
