This upgrade doesn´t really adress the problems of the -1A.
The LB10-X have more range but all the other 3050 weapons have too.
Its still too slow to be of much use outside static defense and its still underarmored. They didn´t even use the gained tonnage to put some ammo in instead they gave it pulse lasers.
The ability of the LB-X cannons to fire cluster is a great option though and that CASE´s can help too. The "Anni" gets through its ammo soon but with that little armor CASE can save your mech. |

Interestingly enough I combined two prior suggestions here. First, I swapped for DHS and armor (up to 18.5 tons). Secondly I dropped the pulses to go back to regular mediums.and used the remaining 5 tons to add 1 more medium, 2 more DHS, and 2 more tons of ammunition. This makes the mech at least usable :)
I've got to say also, what is with Wolf's Dragoons and all their oddball mechs? I mean they have so many that could be great and are just... what the?!?
Anyways, this is better than the original, but not by enough. |

Slow and low armor does not help this mech survive at all. Decent weapons, i'll give it that. Thankfully this baby can easily be modified. DHS replacing the singles and preferably standard Mediums instead of pulses are my suggestions. |

The insanilty of not upgrading to DHS on a 3050 assault aside, this is much better than the terrible original. The increased range and crit-seeking of the autocannons makes this a great anti-aircraft or anti-vehicle platform. It works well in a lance of Gauss-wielding mechs: they puch holes and the Annihilator fills them. On the minus side- it's still a subpar platform. It's speed is still too slow to keep up with most lances, and the armor and ammo capacity is still weak. |

Barely. Like most 3050 'upgrades,' they forgot DHS. This doesn't have big ER energy weapons though, so its survivable. The LBX are some improvment, although the light ammo load will reduce the ability to switch between cluster and solid rounds. The medium pulses are just stupid on a 'Mech this slow; they're too heavy and too short ranged. Short ranged weapons on a slow chassis do not a good 'Mech make. |
