Wow, this is an amazing design. I love beam weapons and this packs a perfect amount. I do have to admit I am not happy with the MG, as I see it being nothing more than extra ammo but the rest of the design far overshadows that minor complaint. |

I like it!
It has the lovely 2750 touch! Some high tech here and there plus standard weapons.
But even with this cautiously applied high tech it is a very strong design.
It has more long range and short range firepower than the BattleMaster combined with the same speed, full armor and a CASE all in a package 10 tons lighter!
Even after an ammo explosion it has a PPC and 5 medium lasers left!
The heat sinks can get rid of a full short range barrage and you can back up your PPC and LRM with 3 to 4 mediums at medium ranges without a problem.
I can't see a way to make this any better without destroying that old Star League taste! |

Well, the weakest point on this 'Mech is it's long range firepower and anti-infantry armament, which are 'merely' average. Short range weapons and armor are both excellent and heat dissipation allows it to use it without any serious problems if the pilot isn't an alpha-maniac. The main problem of this 'Mech in Succession Wars era would be it's abilities that would make the Damocles a prime target and the lack of spare parts would quickly drive it to extinction. An excellent 'Mech with tragic fate hunting it. |

This is a brute enough said. The weapon mix is deadly upclose but still i think you could have sacrifice the MG for a flamer to achieve the same anti-infantry effect and deal heat damage as well as looking alot more scary ! |

I like this a lot. It feels like the sort of 'mech you'd see in TRO 2750. DHS sure, but the weapons are strictly level 1 and it carries a fusion engine.
Seven (!!!) medium lasers and the heat sinks to use them make this 'mech a nightmare to fight at close range, especially since it will probably take concentrated fire from an entire lance to bring this 'mech down quickly.
Only gripe is the MG...I'd pack another laser or another ton of SRM ammo. I'd also consider upgrading the PPC to an ER version and relagate it strictly to long range work. The LRMs are a bit thin here, although in 2750 most 'mechs are not carrying ER beam weapons, so this isn't such a big deal as it might seem. |
