The fluff clearly explains the mechs capabilities and this does explains the DCMS rationale for this kit. Especially with the C3 slave assist. But I do agree with mud that the Streak system may have been a better choice for all the right reasons. And being a tad ammo dependent might force the pilot to return instead of staying to fight which can potentially be good or bad. More bad to me though if it is trying to maintian a role as a spotter. Still I like the design a lot as well as the fluff. |

The armor upgrade was a fairly obvious decision; I like the rationale of making it able to take a gauss hit anywhere on its torsos or legs.
I'm not so certain about the wisdom of removing the LRMs. The UAC has decent range, but for 3065 a maximum range of 18 will put a mech at a substantial disadvantage, especially on the clan front. The loss of missile accuracy does not help either. I view MRMs as something which really do not have a place on a 'mech...if you can afford a 'mech, you can afford real missiles.
A better way to go might have been to keep the LBX AC and switch to a Streak-6 pack. Since the MRMs lean short range anyway, why not go for a real in-fighting weapon, which is more heat friendly too. |

This design will run hot and like all wolftrap, they are only as good as long their ammo holds out, which isn't alot of ammo.
Still i find the MRM on an expensive medium mech like this abit of a waste. Also the armor is alittle fragile, go for the quick shots then pull out as fast as you can.
