This Mech was used by Wolfs Dragoons in the third Succession War. So it had to fight against 3025 Mechs.
Use this Mech similar to the Thorn but you have more tactical flexibility due to the jumpjets.
But still it´s mobility is sub-average for its tonnage. |

Roughly half the 'Mech Valkyrie is. Armor isn't that bad, but it's too weak on legs. Single PPC blast can criple it and that is a serious flaw in my eyes. LRM of this size can be handy in light lance fight and it can annoy bigger enemies that can't return fire. ML is okay, but I would drop the SL for more armor. Hornet needs it. The Pros roughhly equal the Cons (ranged weapon and jump vs. below average speed and weak armor), so it receives average rating from me. |

agree with most on this one. Played in 3025 settings it would be a favourite of mine but 3050 and you are dealing with a deathtrap just not fast enough to get out of the way. |

Not fast, but it can and will beat the crap out of most stingers and wasps. Armour is decent for something its size and LRMs would be a nasty shock.
Unlike the Thorn, the hornet can jump and that's a major advantage.
Stay far away take pot shots. Anthing too fast will still have to ear a ML and a torchlight... |

It beats Stingers and Wasps, hands down.
Course by 3050 just about everyone and anyone can kill them. Its a redundant refit unless you have a lot of cash around and refiting to your own model is the most impressive thing you can do.
I'd rather go out and find something else than take this personally. |
