The idea is interesting, but it lacks teeth. The AC2 is only going to snipe, it has no killing power. The lack of high damage weapons means you are forced to make a choice, sit at range plink at targets or try and close and do a whole 10 points of damage if you are lucky with the 2 medium lasers. I suggest dropping the AC2 and its' ammo and replacing it with a Large Laser or one of the Missile systems.

Though it lacks real firepower this quad can be very annoying.
The tremendous range of its AC and the heavy armor make this possible. It is a fast and stable platform for constantly harassing its enemies.
Good work, and nice fluff too. |

1.) Nice fluff.
2.) Useful sniper - It can annoy the enemy a lot, because there aren't many 'Mechs with lvl 1 tech that can keep up with it (this was made even better with quad construction) and the enemy will probably ignore it. If you have a large, flat map then the opponent will hate you, but you'll have to be much more careful when terrain comes to play. Still, thanks to the lasers, above average mobility and beefy armour there should be a good chance that the design survives an encounter with lighter opponents. Hovercraft and VTOL are probably your worst enemies. |

Incredibly annoying, fast and well-armoured.
It's not going to kill much, but it's not likely to get killed either.
I recommend industrial quality ear muffs for the pilots though.. |

I like this mech a lot. Near max armor on a quad mech will make it hard to kill. The AC/2 will be fun to harass with and the two mediums provide solid back up. Very nice.
I would have given this mech a 4 but the excellent fluff just demanded that I rate it better. That and the fact that I love quads and this seems like the oinly reasonable way to use an AC/2 IMO. |
