C'mon, lighten up people. Yeah its not extremely strictly speaking a Timberwolf, but then it couldn't have the name Mad Cat Crazy Kitty! How can you hate on a mech with such a name?
This mech I would rate as about average on its own merits. I'm not really convinced of the usefullness of small lasers, but other than that the design is solid, but no spectacular. |

Ditto about this not being a Mad Cat/Timberwolf. It doesn't even vaguely resemble one. That being said, the full armor, standard engine, lots of heat sinks, and AMS add up to one hard-to-kill mech.
Unfortunately it's also hard to get a kill in this mech. The firepower looks good damagewise, but the range is _really_ short. With no targeting computer, you'll have to be standing right on top of your target to hit them with the bulk of your firepower. Too bad the mech is now slower and has no jump jets. |

This weapon mix would look better on Mad Dog Chassis. Two big missile launchers backed by laser battery, but after it runs out of ammo it has to be close to the enemy, it's ammo bay is just large enough for trials but not more. Omnimech cannot change armor or structure, so no Timber Wolf here. |

I doubt you can change the engine of a Timberwolf Omni-mech. The TW also uses Endo-steel and FF construction as well and those can't be removed as well.
Just 2 of those faults are enough to bring this down to a 1 pointer. This isn't a Timberwolf. Period.
The firepower looks good though and the mech would have netted a decent rating if it bore another name. |
