I love this mech despite it´s drawbacks. It´s fast, jumpcapable and has heavy firepower. But it´s only lightly armored and has some serious heatproblems. Against most other lights it will be the winner but keep moving at all cost. |

O Baby, this is the PT boat of the Mech world. I have seen and used this Mech in so many tourneys, duels, and scenarios, great in all of them. Faster than most and able to outgun all lighter Mechs. Issue is you have to remember it is a tin can with heat issues but a massive bite. Use it in a drive by fashion and it is brutal. Stand and fight and you are dead. Jumping around and firing every time and your heat will kill you.
GM- I can not use enough of them, but only if the enemy unit justifies it. The damage is great, and they can retreat as necessary. If blasted the PCs do not gain easy salvage. |

A dangerous mech to ride. Jenner is very fast for it's time era, so it can avoid some danger, but thin armor won't keep it safe too long. This problem is made even worse by the weapons carried, because everyone knows how dangerous this mech can be and thus the mech will probably be prime target. This mech rewards courage and may cause a lot of damage if overlooked, but it also creates great pressure on pilots, so those who survive piloting this mech for some time are really from the best stuff the Combine can offer.
Try not to let it flank you, or it may be the last mistake... |

This is an outstanding well balanced level 1 design and it is understandable why it is one of House Kurita's workhorse mechs. It has outstanding mobility and significant firepower in a 35 ton design. Its greatest weakness is its thin armor for its weight. Keep it running, and jumping occasionally, and the enemy will have a tough time hitting it while you slowly denude him of armor. |

The heat is ok, 3025 mechs were supposed to have heat problems. But the armor is awful and now way to better it without losing the good speed or the SRM.
Still, I could see this mech being a pain in a lance with some heavy hitters. Give the other side a choice between taking the time to take out the Jenner before it gets good and close or taking the risk of ignoring it while trading fire with the heavy hitters.
Personally, I don't like to see a mech with jump jets and no arms. Just how exactly does it get up after a falling down, esp in a jump when it would fall harder. Perhaps the solution to the Jenner's shortcoming is to lose the jump jets for either a heat sink and armor or just more armor. |
