Nothing but a light support mech.
No real firepower to fight on his own nor enough armor to take much damage.
Snipe with the AC and try don´t to get too close to use your other "weapons". |

This mech should probably be used as a sniper, but I wonder if it wouldn't do better with AC/2 and more armor (and medium laser). Short range weapons fail to act as a deterrent for lighter mechs and speed won't help here. Armor is also moderate, so as someone said already try to stay at range or burn vehicles. Fluff doesn't say it should be otherwise. |

Just like the Hermes II but less armor, no cool flamer, and just butt ugly mini. Never seen this used other than a book scenario or by me.
GM- I have used it twice, and it was whacked quickly twice. Does have ammo to explode to give less salvage |

A better upgrade would be dropping that AC5 dead weight for a PPC and 2 heatsinks.
Upgrade that small laser to a medium, then staple more armor on this thing. There, you have a mech with a weapon that can crit small lights with a single hit and less chance of ammo explosions to boot.
You can probably lose the SRM2, but Infernos are still deadly against vehicles and setting places on fire.
In its current form, it's just a slightly passable raider or garrison unit. Its very cheap however. |

Sadly it's an improvement over the original. It still has pathetic firepower and armor, its speed is mediocre, and it carries excessive ammo. I have no idea why that AC/5 hasn't been ripped out for a PPC or LRMs. That's a decent spare cannon for a Zeus or Rifleman going to waste in this egg-shaped travesty. |
