You guys remember your first car? For me it's a clunky old pick up truck. Well, this is sort of like your first medium mech. Let's continue this analogy. It's alright for situations like harassment, raiding, sniping, or driving some mulch around in the bed, but horrible for line duty, medium mech duels, taking down things bigger than itself, or driving your girl to Prom. I think it is a better choice than using light mechs for raiding (Personal preference) but outside that, it is just cannon fodder. |

As it was already said this is a hit and run mech. 6/9/6 movement profile is very good, even more in 3025 era. Light armor and firepower prevent it from trying to enter firefights with Phoenix Hawks, but it may still chase away Stingers (if they aren't too numerous). The biggest problem for this mech is probably the lack of spare parts, otherwise this mech can stay away from harm. |

This is average at it comes. A great example why ACs are to heavy for lighter Mechs. If they AC/5 was 6 or 7 tons, then the ball game changes.
A below average dueler, and fair lance mate. The lack of armor is a serious draw back. Only really effective against light Mechs. Against mediums, the AC/5 is not enough to stay at long range, and the 2 ML and light armor get it killed up close.
GM- I use these is droves. Just so standard and average. Kind of not following fluff, should be rare. Results are usually average, one of the reasons I use. |

A 40 tonner that is useful if you use it right. Good mobility and a longrange weapon make it a harasser that has some selfdefense lasers. The only real drawback is the light armor so don“t try to slug it out in true combat but support your lancemates! |

Never think of the Clint as a medium mech, but only as a light mech with a long range weapon. As a Star League Orphan perhaps it was a counter to the Kurita Panther. Too bad it don't have a PPC and 2 more heat sinks, eh?
However do not underestimate the Clint. Going by the fluff, there is a clear indication that it has a very good targeting computer and in any house rules of mine that would mean -1 to hit. Which would make this a much more interesting mech despite its cranky maintenance wouldn't it? |
