Not entirely bad. I think that it would do better with ER large laser or standard PPC and UAC/5s. Heavy armor is good, but speed doesn't allow easy use of the sword. I will give it lower rating, but that doesn't mean that the mech is bad, just that it may be done better. |

There are very few Assault mechs with swords/hatchets that i think are successful. And this isn't one of them.
There simply isn't enough speed to close in with them and while the ER PPC is an adequate weapon, just firing it and running will bring a slight sweat to your pilot.
Adding the AC/5s to the mix will just make things worse. If it had a triple strenght myomer to alleviate that...
Moral of the story, double heat sinks.
Odd thing is that this is actually a pretty decent design in the 3025 era...

Its a below average mech, only the fact its a totem design basically saves it from the scrap heap of history.
Its large load of armour might let it survive to close, but its not exactly something that does really well except in melee, and its not quite fast enough to manage that reliably. |
