Driving this hasn´t the "BJ"-feeling any more but it´s a useful design.
Heavy firepower in medium ranges and a lot of heatsinks to use its main-weapons (3025 Mechs naturally tend to run hotter than 3050+).
The reduction of armor is the only problem here because this variant will draw more fire than the original. |

This slow laser boat packs a lot of firepower. I think that I would rather drop the MLs and add armor, but additional firepower may be handy when you need to force piloting skill rolls. Watch your heat carefully, or you are a toast. |

The main Davion variant and a nice improvement. It has gone from being a BB gun sniper to being a slow but decent medium line mech. I can kind of see it being used as a budget rifleman with those arms, viewing it that way, it has better leg armor then a Rifleman. |

Mixed emotions with this mech.
Its better than average early on, but losing an arm turns you into a big target. Your armour also isn't too special so take care to keep this guy covered in your lance. |

More damge than the regular one, but way too much heat. It also suffers on the range somewhat. With the speed and lasers, it becomes a close up brawler but without the heavy armor to protect it. With that said, I still like this as part of a lance. |
