Strange, this mech would make good assault machine, even if inefficient, but it invests too much in close contact weapons. Five tons may be put to much better use and this mech needs EVERY piece of equipment it can get. |

There's only one use i can see for this, a sacrifical mech for a C3 assault company.
Charge ahead and try and scare the enemy with two swords, only one of which can be used.
And in the first place, what's with putting swords/hatchets on 100 tonners?? The only time you're going to get to use it is when you're in a city fighting awesomes.
It doesn't really have the weapons to cover its approaach either...
Oh and where's the fluff????? |

I've never seen the point of swords on an assault mech. Although this comes close to changing my mind as it can sort of manage a heat curve that keeps its speed at 5/8.
It comes at the price of the floating critical that can kill your XL engine all too easily. The sword both, one of them, or both of them are kind of useless. Although its a nice trick to gut someone like a fish.
I just see this mech being swarmed by 2 standard assault mechs and getting gutted because of its massive price. |

Truly fitting for a name. Quick and deadly in one packege. Youch.
One thing to comment, though. Two swords are useless unless one of them breaks. Only one physical can be used per turn. However, in real life, I am wrong.
Another great design, Raven. |
