Liao-sabotage in Davionist Mech-design studios?
Ok, the close range firepower of the -2H is doubled and so now is acceptable but what do you want to do with it? Get close to the enemy? With 4,5 tons of armor on a 55 ton frame?
This is an armed coffin.
Or maybe a spare parts depot on legs. |

Wow. I like the idea of a punishment mech to march side by side with the Charger 1L. Same movement profile sans the jump jets Although this one has more firepower even if it is at the cost of a mech with tissue for armor loaded with ammo. So it is not quite the survivor the Charger is. I need to run this some time. What would the universe do without Davions who believe their blinding glow protects them like 10 tons of Starslab. |

Okay, it can fire all it's weapons and walk without overheating, but the question is if this all is worth the effort. With 4.5 tons of armor this 'Mech is a snack for Panthers or Vindicators and 'Mechs like Jenners and Clints can still threaten it easily. I don't think that this is an upgrade, but I also wonder why does it need so many heat sinks? Replacing the additional HSs with armor would cause some heat problems, but firing discipline and using brackets should solve everything. As it is, this 'Mech should be a failed attempt, not a combat worthy machine. |

My favorite of the 55 ton weight class. Has by far the best looks but this variane is horrible. As much as I like the AC5 I have to say drop it and the lrm for a ppc or Large laser and armor. Drop the SRM's for 1 SRM 4 launcher and a ton of ammo. Any extra tonnage give over to upping the JJ. |

Have to ask that question again, besides writers prefering the Federated Suns, how did they get that big again??
This sucks.. sure it has lots of firepower, but its not going to get the chance to use it.
One good hit from any heavy weapon has a good chance of punching through the paper thin armour and doing some serious damage.
Kinda reminds me of the rifleman's back armour, only its all over in this case... |
