Slower and oversinked. Marginal armor upgrade. More expensive.
There are MadCat variants that do this way better, even if they have their heat endurance problems. This, however, is just plain deficient, even when you add in you can alpha strike at a manageable heat threshold. |

I say kill some of the DHS for more armor. This mech generate so little heat that it won't even bother you much.
However, more armor will make it fair better. |

A good start, but I don't really like the jump jets very much here, especially given the armor situation. |

This looks familiar.
This one feels poorly thought out. Inner Sphere 'Mechs need double Gauss rifles to match Clanners; that makes some sense. Clan 'Mechs don't need double Gauss rifles. This will preform well at long range, but the close in armament is an afterthought. The armor's too thin for this to go up against 'Mechs of its own weight, and quite a few lighter ones can kill it too. Very ammo dependent; once the ammo's gone, this thing is dead. I've never seen the point of not giving a 'Mech full jump; go all the way or nor at all. Then use the new tonnage to give this decent armor and some more lasers. |

This is the Clan equivalent of a Beating Stick. The guass rifles make this thing a perfect sniper, and the LRMs back them up nicely. This thing can kill light and medium designs in one salvo, and give heavy mechs reason to turn tail and run. The lasers are good for carving mechs to scrap at close range.
This thing may have heat troubles with alpha strikes, so a little fire discipline is a good thing to work on.
The speed of this mech is good for its weight, and the jump jets let this beast fight in cities and other built up areas.
The armor seems a bit thin, but should take quite a beating before having to leave.
Try dropping one of these in an assault or battle star and watch your opponents run. |
