Not that good.
Its weaponry and the jump-jets place it in a short-range combat and city-fighter role but in this role the XL is most dangerous.
Nonetheless the firepower is impressive and the MRMs will work well in a C3-network. |

Much much cheaper ways of doing this. THis Catapult is too expensive to bother with for what it does.
As a close range platform for missile bombardment its nice, but you give up too much for the XL. It makes this mech have to be so much better because your paying an assault mech price for it. |

I just cannot see justifying using an XL engine on what is essentially a low-tech rocket platform. It does a job and does it well, but you could do the same job for a lot less.
The funny thing is that if you took the A1 variant of the Catapult and stripped the LRM-15s, you could build pretty much the same 'mech. The armor wouldn't be as beefy, but loosing the XL engine would more than make up for any loss in durability. |

Nice for city fights, where up close and personal is the way tings work. The C3 link is great for calling in heavy fire support, and the MRMs are fantastic for the close range battles in an urban environment. The two pulse lasers seem a little underpowered for self defense, but anyone who keep using this mech after the MRMs are gone deserves to get this thing trashed. You have been warned. |
