This variant solves almost all the problems plaguing the old -1N. Endo Steel and the dropped large pulse laser freed up enough tonnage to get rid of the dangerous XL engine. Along with a decent upgrade of the remaining weapons the added ammo serves it well as does the ECM. Keep it in the city and you'll be fine! |

Don't pull any punches with this guy ! The loss of the XL dramatically increased the mech's survivability and let's just say the LB-20x is not a funny sight either.
It speed is considered below average for its era (too many XL 5/8 heavies stomping around in 3060s) but this don't matter for crap once you forced the enemy to fight in the city. The JJs as usual are awesome for a city dueller. |

Here's an Axman worthy of the name! Just don't get caught in open country. |

I've watched this mech take out a star of front line clan OMNI mechs without breaking a sweat in a city.
Its positively brutal to fight in close. If you see one in a campaign in a rolling hills or plains terrain smoke it then and there before you need to take a city.
I have far too much respect for this Axman to ever take it lightly. The light helps it survive much much better than the old XL ever did. I like this refit. |
