Overview:
Using the classic Clan nomenclature for vehicles, the Proioxis was named after the
personification of the onrush of battle. Which is an entirely too esoteric concept, but is
what happens when "Mars" and "Ares" were used up in the first 5 seconds of naming clan
vehicles after war gods. Still the name found is a fitting one. The Prioixis is dedicated
to delivering infantry, normally battle armor, into combat as expidiously as possible.
Capabilities:
The chief weapon is speed. Speed and stealth. Stealth and Speed. Our two weapons are
stealth and speed and chaff pods. Our three weapons are Stealth, and Speed, and Chaff
pods.. and an Infantry bay. Our four... no... amongst our weapons... hmmm... amongst our
weaponry... are such elements as Stealth and Spee... I'll come in again.
Deployment:
So in universe fluff... Stone Lions mostly. Built a fairly nasty battle armor suit for
them. Now they just need to deliver it. Hobbies also could fit the same basic platform
into their forces with some differences.
Variants:
So if you look at the movement, and then you look at the alpha strike movement you'll notice
it's just fast enough to max out TMM. This is intentional. The design was originally
intended to be used for mechanized infantry tactics. It can still do the job, but the loss
of the ambusher discount on most infantry units hurt. Still, the Pure alpha strike variant
drops armor and uses an XXL engine to crank up the IT to 10. This actually reduces the PV
since you're not paying for the 1 point of armor that won't save you anyways if you get hit.
In return you get a nearly impossible to hit transport that can pick up 2 points of battle
armor and plop them out in someone's back arc with absurd ease. Which is nice for most
people and just plain winning for me since my BA points do 7 damage. The bonus damage from
being in the rear is just icing for ne.
