All in all this is a nice package to deliver the firepower of an RAC/5 onto the battlefield.
All aspects seem to be geared towards this goal (Fast, TC, C3-slave, good armor) but on the way some important thing was lost: backup-firepower!
Two medium ER lasers aren't bad but too little if the cannon jams or (worse) runs out of ammo. There isn't even a single real long-range weapon any more.
I think this Centurion is just too dependent on its RAC! |

More of a tech fanboy's mech this has all of house davion shiny new tech squeezed into a old dude that needs retirement.
Still it will do a good job. The C3 link and TC will make your RAC and ERmed shots count all the time. |

I am a real fan of both the RAC and the Centurion, and they mould together nicely to make a good support mech.
Burn the ammo away at targets using the usual RAC stratagy, build up the shots as u approach. Only use 6 if your desperate or your confident of both the to-hit and your dice rolling skills. |

I think this mech should be retired rather than given yet another uninspired upgrade. Although the RAC has enough ammo to lay down some serious shots while the TC and C3 link let it be much more accurate than usual with the watering the grass RAC. |

This is ok, I guess. Something about it just doesn't seem inspiring, though. The RAC's a good weapon, but the backups are insufficient. The RAC/TC/C3/MASC combo feels lackluster, and mismatched. This is too short-ranged to stand-off with the C3, and not suited as the 'Mech which brings the C3 up close, too big and expensive.
Also, I tend to place importance on faction affiliations with 'Mechs and equipment, and that means that RACs and C3s don't go together, which is pobably why it feels wrong. |
