My favorite 3025 heavy.
Lots of weapons at all ranges and for all purposes and quite good heat dissipating capability for a mech of its time.
That all clad with superb armor protection.
I personally prefer a version with two more heat sink instead of the SRM and half a ton MG ammo replaced by a third MG but that's only me.
I´ve had one of this in my unit for a long time and named it "The Survivor" cause it survived so many engagement despite being in the middle of the action and getting heavy damage all the time.
This was till a lucky CT critical hit let my LRM ammo go off.
But I have now another one in my unit and named it
"The Survivor II". :-) |

It's hard to find as nice mix of weapons and armor as that found on TDR. Weapons get more dangerous as it closes and with all those small guns it isn't that easy to disarm. This in combination with nearly full armor and sufficient heat dissipation (= clever warriors don't have to deal with shutdowns ;) ) creates a justly feared opponent that can threaten even an assault 'Mech. If there is any flaw than it must be the ammo, which you can't drop in the middle of firefight and expending is hardly an option, so you can suffer from catastrophic ammo explosion, but this sometimes happens to all mechs around 3025. |

Definately one of the best heavies of the 3025 era, and can hold it's own even against clan machines. This is the mech I'd use if I wasn't sure of what I'd be going up against. It's got decent long range punch with the LRM's and large laser. Up close it's brutal (watch the heat though) It even has machine guns for infantry, or for that turn when you need to cool off but would like to fire something. This mech is the best off the heavy work horses the Inner Sphere has to offer |

The best heavy mech in the game. It can easily stand up against anything the enemy throw at it. Tough armour and excellent weapons, simply the best heavy out their, i prefer this guy over Marauders and Warhammers any day. |

One of the best Mechs in the Heavy weight class. The Thunderbolt (this model) in the hands of a smart pilot can even prove to be a threat to a Clan Mech.
Heavy armour, a mix of hard hitting long and short range weapons. Makes you wonder how they managed to squeeze that all in.
I don't know about the rest of you, but i always saw the Summoner as being derived from the Thunderbolt. They do look similar and are both versatile scrappers. |
