Overview:
The primary long-range weapons on the Captain Crusader are an ER Large Laser and two LRM-15
launchers, providing the Captain with relatively light long-range fire support capabilities.
These are supplied by two tons of reloads each split between the side torsos. For medium
range combat, the 'Mech has three ER Medium Lasers. The Captain Crusader has an inadequate
heat management system, carrying ten double heat sinks to handle all the waste heat produced
by its weapons and equipment.
Capabilities:
Captain Crusader's are well-protected with fifteen and a half tons of armor. This not only
made it a good hand-to-hand combatant but, for those so equipped, made it well-suited for
performing Death from Above attacks. A seven ton XL fusion engine allowed the Crusader to
achieve a decent cruising speed of 55.32 km/h and a jump range of 150 meters. The CCA
variant is specialized in hand to hand combat with a formidable 6 ton hatchet in the shape
of a shield. This weapon merged with triple strength myomers activated can make short work
of most mech in hand to hand combat.
