================================================================================================
Overview:
Designed by Clan Blood Spirit and latter disseminated as isorla to the rest of the
Clans, the Crimson Antlion is intended by design to excel at urban defense by taking enemies
off-guard with heavy weaponry. This leaves it quite slow for its size, but that is
considered an acceptable tradeoff since speed would be limited by its intended combat
environment of urban areas anyway.
The Prime variant in particular appears to draw inspiration from a similar loadout on the
UrbanMech.
Capabilities:
The 30-ton Shank is built on a York WT Endo-Steel chassis, which supports a 90-rated XL
Engine and 5 tons of Compound Alpha Ferro-Fibrous armor. With its lighter armor and
underpowered engine, it is reliant on cover for avoiding damage - pidgeonhole-ing it as an
ambusher archetype design. However, this leaves it with 60% of its weight being available as
OmniPod space. As for electronics, its communications are provided by a York Y2-Comm unit,
while target acquisition and tracking is handled by a York Y2-T&T tuned for increased
accuracy in close quarters.
The stock configuration uses a right torso-mounted Type 10 UAC/20 with 2 tons of ammunition
as its main weapon, able to core an enemy 'Mech with sufficient luck and thus being perfect
for ambushing. As an emergency weapon and an anti-infantry weapon a Series 1 Mk. 3 ER Medium
Laser and a Chi Series Small Pulse Laser respectively are installed in a gunpod attached to
the left shoulder. 11 standard heat sinks are sufficient during normal operation but will be
overtaxed if an Alpha Strike is attempted.
DESIGN QUIRKS: Narrow/Low Profile, Improved Targeting (Short), Stable, Poor Performance,
No/Minimal Arms

Well... clan blood spirit would never make this. Their design philosophy is cheap simple effective. And this has layers of bells and whistles.
The other thing that comes to mind is that the Urbanmech IIC already exists, and this is trying to edge in on that space.

Wasn't aware that the Spirits were cheapskates, just make it in actuality a (proto-)Society-made thing IG.
As for the cribbing of the UrbanMech IIC, that was intentional as I'm fairly certain there isn't an equivalent OmniMech.
