Overview:
Towards the end of the Dark Age, the warriors of the Rasalhague Dominion began looking at
revamping their ‘Mech forces, with several new designs being developed. For a time, it
almost appeared that these new designs would eclipse those that had served faithfully for
centuries, including the reliable Executioner. Although many always consider the newest to
be the best, others knew that reliability often trumps new developments.
But that does not mean that the old reliable could not be improved upon.
It was for this reason that the Executioner-C was developed.
Capabilities:
One thing that had for centuries tempered the devotion of MechWarriors to the Executioner
was its relatively thin torso armor in relation to its arms and legs. But thinning the armor
in those locations would have been unthinkable. Fortunately, new technological developments
provided additional alternatives.
Replacing the standard chassis with endo-composite internals freed up enough tonnage that
Clan scientists could maximize the ferro-fibrous armor on the design, greatly increasing the
protection across all front locations as well as the rear center torso. This allows the
design to absorb much more punishment before retiring from the field.
To further improve pod space for weapons and equipment, the fixed jump jets and the heat
sink that could not be fitted within the fusion core were also removed. This provides the
design with 35.5 tons of podspace, despite making no other changes to the design, allowing,
with some minor allocation changes, all previous configurations to be possible loadouts, and
creating opportunities for new sets of weapons and equipment.
Deployment:
The Executioner-C has begun deployment to all frontline forces, and is quickly garnering
support among the warriors. Those who have long piloted Executioners appreciate the design
for its improvements, while its opponents have quickly learned to fear its appearance on the
battlefields of the 32nd century.

================================================================================================
