Overview:
Adam Tech Industries would set out plans to develop a new light mech in 3139. Coming off the
development process for the Gambit and with the foundational product of the Havoc under
their belts the company felt confident in pursuing a much more ambitious product. Intended
to be the company’s magnum opus, project ‘Marine’ would design and produced a 35-ton
omni mech with the designated goal of creating a flexible design that could balance
mobility, fire-power, and utility as needed across various configurations. The heart of the
design would be built around Inner-sphere technology, but Adam Tech would utilize Abadan’s
location in Clan Protectorate space, and their relationship with Clan Sea Fox to procure the
necessary Clan technologies needed to load out various configurations for their new
creation. Additionally, the Marine (as it would be dubbed) would feature an advanced CLPS
system, although how they procured the technology would be, and remain, a closely guarded
secret. Special care would be set aside in the realm of communications, highlighted early on
as vitally important for the future machine, and to meet this goal the company would install
an improved Garret T20-C communication system into the Battlemech. With all the pieces in
place the Marine MRE-1-O would march off the factory lot to much fanfare in 3152.
Capabilities:
Intended to fill the roll of a light sniper and harasser the B-config would add 5 jump jets
to the design. 4 streak-LRM 5’s would then be split between the arms and side torso’s
with 2 tons of CASE II protected ammo making there way into the left torso. A single center
torso mounted er-medium laser would round out the design.
